A day without a piece of chocolate, is not my kind of a day. Rarely do I make my own, but after seeing this recipe from Moon Juice, I just had to give it a try.

Featuring the brand’s Sex Dust (containing an adaptogenic blend of lusty superherbs), it’s rich in healthy ingredients like pure cacao, coconut oil, ghee and lightly sweetened with honey.

And like all the recipes I make, it’s not overly complicated – and the taste? Well, let’s just say the girls and I polished our first batch in minutes!

So good, I’m going to make more over the holidays with a sprinkling of peppermint on top for a festive bark to share.

From the Kitchen: Sex Dust Bark

¼ cup coconut oil
¼ cup ghee
1 cup Moon Dust Pantry cacao
3 tsp / 3 servings Sex Dust
¼ cup raw honey or several drops stevia
1 ½ tbsp Moon Dust Pantry cacao nibs
Pinch of Moon Dust Pantry pink salt

Combine coconut oil and ghee in a glass bowl set over a simmering pot of water, and stir until completely melted.

Remove from the heat and whisk in cacao, powders, and the sweetener of your choice. We like this very chocolaty and not too sweet, but feel free to adjust with more stevia or honey.

Pour into an 8×8 glass or metal baking dish, sprinkle with cacao nibs and pink salt, and freeze for about 20 minutes, or until firm.

When ready, pop the bark out of the dish with a butter knife, and break into pieces.

Serves 4-6.

Can be saved and stored in the freezer for later indulgence 🙂
