We’ve been concocting smoothies of various kinds for years. Alternating between greens, berries, non-dairy milks and vegan proteins, we’ve also dabbled in a ton of supplements.
As healthy as they can be, sadly our stomachs can’t well, stomach smoothies so well. More often, we’re bloated, gassy or just plain ‘ick’.
But after meeting Elle Macpherson (hello, gorgeous!) at our favourite beauty haunt, Gee Beauty, and learning more about her Super Elixir greens, we decided to take her advice and try it out for 30 days.
Simply added to water, it became our go-to first thing in the morning. Rich in taste, without a chalky residue, we were hooked within days. Our energy felt better, same for our mental clarity. And super bonus, we didn’t have any stomach issues to contend with.
Containing a full spectrum of super-food ingredients like organic barley grass, alfalfa and spinach, antioxidant-rich fruits such as goji berry and pomegranate, with digestive promoting probiotics, L-Glutamine and Turmeric, Elle’s team designed the formula to be as alkaline-forming as possible, promoting a healthier pH balance.
As we’ve read over and over, being alkaline is key for optimum health. When we’re not in balance, acidity takes over. Too much acid, and it’s believed our health is compromised, impacting everything from our energy and skin, to our ability to fight disease.
Clearly this ‘game changing multi-vitamin’ as Elle calls it, works. So you can bet we’re still drinking it daily, along with the Super Elixir Nourishing Vegan Protein.
